Malaysia Design Cars by Proton
Proton Saga : The first cars design in Malaysia is design by automobile manufacturer "Proton" on July 1985.
Proton Wira: Also known as the Proton Persona in some overseas markets. It was introduced in 1993 based on the Mitsubishi Mirage / Asti / Lancer.
Proton Perdana: Based on the Mitsubishi Eterna, produced for the luxury car market in 1994.
Proton Tiara: This is a compact car based on the Citroën AX, designed under license Proton from 1996 to 2000.
Proton Waja: Also called Proton Impian in Europe, it was the first Proton car designed. Taken car chassis and designed based on the chassis of the Mitsubishi and Volvo and Renault engines are supplied with. Originally Proton Waja 1.6 Mitsubishi engine model year 2000, but then it started using Campro engines in 2006. In 2008, the Proton Waja Campro engine is also equipped with variable valve timing technology Campro CPS.
Proton Gen-2: The only fully Malaysian-made cars (including chassis and engine) and is the replacement model for the Proton Wira; launched on February 8, 2004.

Proton Satria Neo: This is the original design, the Proton Satria replace the first generation. It was launched on June 16, 2006 and is equipped with 1.6L and 1.3L Campro engine.
Proton Persona: Launched on August 15, 2007. 1.6-liter sedan is based on the previous model, the Proton Gen-2 with display form than Gen-2 sedan with a hatchback design.
Proton Exora: Proton's first MPV was launched on 15 April 2009. Development of this model starts from zero and it is the first MPV produced by Malaysia.
Proton Inspira: A model based on the Mitsubishi Lancer GT.
Proton PERT
Proton Prevé: world-class sedan produced by Proton as a replacement model for Proton Persona. This model was launched on 16 April 2012 by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato 'Sri Haji Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak.
